Manchester United special / FA CUP FINAL - LOOKING BACK. Part One

Hi guys,

This is not my normal match review of the FA Cup as I have not had a chance to watch the game in full yet, but I wanted to give my own opinions on some of the matters that are currently talking in the media currently.

Don't warry a full match review will be coming up very soon,

Talking Points

Do Manchester United have what it takes to win the WSL now? A lot of debate and criticism after the FA Cup final is if Manchester United will have what it takes to win the WSL now. Manchester United currently sit a point above Chelsea. Although, have played a game more then Chelsea due to their involvement in the champions league semi finals.

So the blues do have the possibility to go above United by 2 points with their game in hand alone.

Their is no doubt that Chelsea have the experience in their side -they have players that have proved time and time again that they can go past rough patches and can use their experience and determination to win the league.

Manchester United's recruitment last summer was good, by bringing in experience in Nikita Parris it has meant that the red devils have been able to pursue their title hopes.

Manchester United have already assured their space in champions league football next season (a point we will go onto later in this blog post) which for the last few season's they have just missed out on.

How will united fair next season playing Champions League football? Next season will be the first season where Manchester United will play in Champions league football. What I think will be interesting is how they fair next season. Champions league football is more then just an increased schedule of matches.

Matches are tougher and can play for longer periods of time. They are also often in longer destinations across Europe. Teams could be playing in Italy midweek in Champions League action and then a WSL fixture on the weekend.

Champions league sides also commonly play different styles of play - which a team like Manchester United will have to get used to (and quickly, if they want to get through to the group stage).

PREDICTION - Manchester United will get knocked out in Champions league Quarter Finals.

Right, that's all that will be included in today's post, but a second part will hopefully be coming out tomorrow, see you then!
