Continental Cup Final: Arsenal V Chelsea Preview

The first trophy of the season is up for grabs this weekend, with the Continental League Cup taking place on Sunday.

Retaining champions Manchester City where knocked out of the contest in the semi finals by Arsenal.

Chelsea narrowly missed out last year from getting the triple , loosing to City at the final hurdle.

The league cup would turn out to be Manchester City's only cup of the season.

If Arsenal are not to get a cup this season, they will have gone 4 years without lifting a trophy- which is incredible for a club with so much talent and history.

Chelsea are currently the dominant force in the WSL, going for the quadrupole this season. If they are successful and win the Champions league they will join Arsenal as the only English sides to have won the Champions league.

The two teams played each other in the FA cup, with Chelsea coming out the victors 2-0.

Throughout the match it became clear of just why Arsenal are missing a striking attack without Mead and Miedema. However, you can not pin a whole team down on the loss of two players, no matter how big superstars they are.

It will be interesting to see how Eidevall lines up the gunners - typically in past matches he has gone for 3 defenders at the back, however will he move it back to the more typical 4 at the back? It will also be interesting to see if he uses Leah (Williamson) in midfield rather than her typical role of a defender. Or, the option to place Victoria Pelova , their new January signing starting.

So, vote below who you are favoring for winning the match!
