The WSL and women's champions league is on a winter break, returning in January.
I have a new series of talking points of the league now , under highlight 'January Break' where I'll be looking at transfer news , rumors and what I think clubs need to do.
Currently Chelsea sit top of the table , 3 points ahead of arsenal, although the gunners have a game in hand,
Chelsea and arsenal are set to play each other on the 15th January.
Sitting in 3rd and 4th are the red and blues of Manchester.
West Ham sits 5th - although they are 12 points away from the leaders.
Arsenal Injury woes
The gunners have struggled with Injuries throughout the whole season, however successive ACLs to both Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema (whos injuries occurred just 3 weeks after each other) leaves them without 2 starting forwards. Mead has signed a new contract , although Miedema's contract still runs out at the end of this season.
However, it does look as if the Jan transfer window will be busy for Arsenal.
Speculating rumors included Debinha , who announced she would not be staying with NWSL side North Carolina Courage ,
as well as Ajax's Victoria Pelova , The 23 year old is reportedly in 'advanced talks' to sign her (reports from @soccerdonna on instagram) , other clubs reportedly interested include Wolfsburg and Real Madrid.
