Arsenal have ended their 4 year trophy-less drought after beating Chelsea 3-1 in the continental cup final earlier today.
With all the goals coming in the first half, Chelsea got on the opening feet first, thanks to a goal from Sam Kerr. However, It did not take long for the gunners to bounce back, with a goal from Stina Blackstenius ,
The second came from a penalty awarded by a foul from Sophie Ingle on Katie McCabe, Kim Little took to the penalty spot, smashing it in the back of the net at 24 minutes in.
Then, just before the half time whistle Rafelle Souza got the 3rd for the gunnners , although the goal was awarded as an own goal by Niamh Charles.
The second half was full of opportunities from both sides but the gunners still remained on the front foot.
Arsenal should have also had a clear penalty too, although the 4th possible goal was not needed in the end.
