In recent years , under Phil Neville, England have struggled against the USA.

Okay , so we have to start on the fact that both teams where missing key players so we probably did not see the best of both teams. But the over 70,000 fans in a sold out Wembley where still watching a great match.

They chose to keep Rachel Daly in defense, despite the fact that for her club Aston Villa where she is played as a forward.
In the first 10 minutes England got on the score sheet thanks to Lauren Hemp, who went around both a defender and goalkeeper to produce a cracking goal.
The match then reached a stale mate situation for just over 15 minutes , when England , playing out from the back faced USA one-to-watch star Sophia Smith, catching out the lionesses.
Then, a penalty was awarded after a foul against Lucy Bronze, turned over by Georgia Stanway.
However, just three minutes after the penalty incident America hit back with a goal ruled off by VAR (more on the referees desisions on the post after this)
