Arsenal faced a tough match against Ajax, after the draw at home to the team in the first of the two matches. Going into this match they where tied on aggregate . Arsenal needed a win to qualify. Both teams where tied at half time 0-0.
It took Viviana Medema early in the second half to score the only goal of the match.
Although, the threats from Ajax continued, with many near misses from the home side.
